I see my work as a process of bringing form to complexity; where systems, people, and ideas come together through iteration and care. I’m drawn to the in-between spaces where balance and clarity emerge, where context shapes creation.

Selected Case Studies
Philanthropic Strategy
As Head of Strategy & Impact, Olivia serves as a strategic thought partner during Youth Power Fund’s expansion from a regional initiative to a statewide fund. She bridges philanthropic partners and youth leadership, guiding strategy, grantmaking, and fundraising—translating bold, trust-based vision into operational reality through systems thinking and human-centered design.
-
Guided early-stage organizational strategy and operational structure
Facilitated cross-class and cross-sector collaboration to strengthen trust
Supported narrative framing and funding alignment for long-term sustainability
Embedded systems-thinking practices into day-to-day decision-making
Climate Justice Initiative
Partnering with Marin Community Foundation, Olivia helped shift their climate strategy from disaster preparedness to long-term climate justice. Through a co-design process with frontline communities, she led stakeholder research and facilitated multi-sector convenings that reframed how the foundation engages with equity, resilience, and community voice in climate work.
-
Co-designed participatory research and stakeholder engagement processes
Elevated community-based leadership from under-invested areas of Marin County
Facilitated convenings that reframed climate work through equity and justice
Delivered actionable insights that informed the foundation’s new climate strategy
Prevention Innovation Lab
As project lead and facilitator, Olivia designed and guided spaces where 16 diverse fellows could collaborate and create lasting solutions for domestic violence prevention. Her focus on power leveling and inclusive dialogue fostered an environment that continues to sustain impactful, community-driven projects years later.
-
Designed and facilitated a six-month co-creation process for 16 fellows
Built trust across sectors and disciplines to foster collective problem-solving
Centered equity and “power leveling” as design principlesSupported prototype projects that continue to grow beyond the original design lab
Social Entrepreneurship
Juabar was a solar-powered kiosk network in Tanzania created to address the disparity between low electricity access and high mobile-phone use. The system combined a 50-watt unit and leasing model—charging 20 devices while enabling local entrepreneurs to run micro-utilities. The venture operated for five years, proving that innovation lives in implementation.
-
Designed a sustainable solar charging system for low-resource settings
Enabled local entrepreneurship through a micro-utility leasing model
Served thousands of users across rural and peri-urban Tanzania
Demonstrated scalable innovation through implementation and iteration
My practice is rooted in curiosity, guided by process, and grounded by the belief that innovation comes through implementation.
